Although the Wush Wush variety is somewhat rare, it carries a great reputation. Originally discovered in the town whose name it carries, it has been planted in Colombia with great success and some producers have made a name for themselves by specializing in it.
Wush Wush is a very distinct variety with its own qualities and when processed with care, it is up there with all the exotics.
Mesfin's is a great example of the cultivar which given the extended fermentation, yields a complex, intensely fruit-forward cup; leading with sangria and tropical fruit-like acidity to end in a delicate floral aftertaste.
This is a versatile coffee across brewing methods, yielding a bright and fruity espresso or a textbook Ethiopian natural pour over dripping in winey goodness.
